Aldi shoppers rush to buy bargain heating gadget that warms up your room 'in minutes' | The Sun

ALDI shoppers have been full of positive reviews for a stove that heats up the room quickly.

The discount supermarket is selling a Kirkton House Electric Stove for £49.99, but you can only get it online.

The heating gadget comes with two heat settings, a feature that stops it overheating and a three-year warranty.

You get free delivery as it's over £30 too and it costs 68p an hour to run on the 2000w setting.

The product has a 4.6 out of 5 star rating on Aldi's website and shoppers have been full of praise.

They've been taking to the product page on Aldi's website to say how quickly it heats up the room.

A third added: "Bought this for the spare room…love it, best buy by far."

How quickly the stove works to heat up your room will obviously depend on the room's size and how cold it was when you turned the heater on.

Of course, it's always worth shopping around when looking at buying any product as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like trolley.co.uk and pricespy.co.uk let you compare thousands of items across different retailers to find the best price.

However, a lot of the time products on sale at Aldi can't be bought anywhere else.

We looked online and couldn't find the Kirkton House Electric Stove on sale anywhere else.

B&Q is selling a 2000w heater for £50 though, while Dunelm is selling a 2000w model for £56.

Always remember to be careful with electric stoves as while they are generally safe they can catch fire.

So it's worth not leaving them unattended and if you do leave the room switch the appliance off.

Is it cheapest to buy an electric stove?

It might not always be the cheapest option to buy an electric stove.

Aldi's Kirkton stove costs 68p per hour to run. That's based on one kilowatt of energy costing 34p.

So if you used it for five hours one night that would cost you £3.40.

But you could opt for an electric blanket instead.

According to Uswitch, the gadgets use 100 watts of energy to warm a double bed – that's 3.4p an hour.

Over five hours, that's 17p, which is significantly cheaper than the Kirkton stove.

Plus, an electric stove will just heat up one room and not the entire house. So it could be cheaper to run the central heating on low.

How can I save money on my Aldi shop?

Inflation in January stood at 10.1%, according to the ONS.

Inflation is a measure of the price of a bag of goods and services, so it means customers are paying more at the tills.

So if you're an Aldi regular, you'll want to employ a few money-saving tips to slash your bill.

You can always try writing a list before heading out to your nearest branch.

That way you'll be less inclined to make any rash purchases which could see costs rack up.

You should look out for red stickers on products too – workers put them on to show something is reduced, either because the packaging is damaged or it's about to go out of date.
