Aldi is known for its Specialbuys aisle in-store as well as several products being sold online. They go on sale twice a week and cover a wide range of hobbies including gardening, DIY and baking. The retailer has recently unveiled new garden furniture that will be on sale ahead of May 17.

May 17 marks the easing of lockdown restrictions which enables Britons to host up to 30 people in their gardens.

To get the garden summer-ready, Aldi is launching various different furniture items including a garden bar.

The Rattan Effect Garden Bar launches online on May 9 and it is an online exclusive.

It has a grey wicker finish with stylish fittings and a black printed tempered glass top.

The piece will also cost customers £199.99.

It comes as part of the new garden range which also includes a stylish Drinks Trug costing just £19.99.

The piece keeps drinks cool and comes in copper, silver and gold.

It can also be filled with ice to chill multiple bottles at once.

Aldi’s BBQ and Garden Party Specialbuys range will be available to pre-order online from May 9 and will be in stores from May 16.

Customers will also be able to get their hands on the Philips Perfect Draft available in black with chrome and metal accents.

Costing £199.99, the robust design has an LED display with temperature, volume and freshness indication.

Shoppers will need to be quick to purchase these items as like with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Taking to Twitter after seeing the news about the garden bar, one person said: “Wow, that looks quite luxurious.”

Another said: “This is a bit of luxury I need in my life, absolute bargain.”

“You couldn’t find this at that price anywhere else, what a bargain,” a third wrote.

These garden pieces will no doubt be a hit this year as they are launching just before the lockdown restrictions ease.

Under the next step of Boris Johnson’s plan, the limit on meeting outdoors will rise to 30 people.

People will also be able to meet indoors, but only a maximum of six or two households will be allowed.

In other Aldi news, the discount retailer has warned customers that certain Specialbuys items will be delayed.

Up to 80 items that were supposed to arrive this week and next week have been delayed.

However, customers will now have to wait until mid-May for some items, and even early June for others.

Earlier this month, Aldi apologised to customers that some products were delayed.

It said it was “working hard” to make items available.

It was later discovered that several Specialbuys did not arrive stores in time due to global events, most notably the Suez Canal blockage.
