‘Now for the secret ingredient – a good squeeze of Vegemite,’ Morgan said in a now-viral TiKTok video then combined all the ingredients together.
The chocolate chunks were added to the bowl and whisked to create a thick brownie batter.
‘Add to a lined baking tray and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes,’ he said.
The brownies were sliced into large squares then stacked and topped with a dust of icing sugar to serve.
‘Here’s to being a happy little Vegemite,’ Morgan said with a smile on his face and took a bite of the freshly made brownie square.

Why you should add salt or Vegemite to your brownie batter
Salt is a flavour enhancer, so using salt in desserts doesn’t just make them saltier, it enhances the sweetness of the dish
It’s recommended to add salt to the brownie batter before the butter
Compared to alternative desserts, such as salted caramel or salted chocolate chip cookies, you don’t taste the salt

The video has since been watched more than half a million times and many TikTok users seemed unsure about the baking tip.
‘That doesn’t sound right’ one person wrote, while others said adding Vegemite is an absolute ‘war crime’.
But others were openminded about the expert suggestion.
‘It might actually work because he didn’t put salt in it,’ another added.
A third confirmed: ‘Salt and chocolate are the perfect combo!’
