BARCLAYS is set to shut another 15 branches this year in the latest round of closures revealed by the bank.
It brings the total number of sites disappearing this year to 132 across the country.
It comes after Barclays announced in May the locations of 27 branches that will be closing for good in 2022.
It is not the only bank to tell customers to expect more closures, with Lloyds, HSBC and Halifax among those to vanish from many high streets.
Barclays said more customers are now choosing to do their banking online and on apps, rather than visiting in person.
A Barclays spokesperson said: “We continue to review and adjust our branch footprint to ensure it reflects the way that our customers are increasingly choosing to do their banking.

Experts predict that around 700 to 800 bank sites across the UK faceclosure in 2022.
