On Saturday, Britney Spears gave followers a rare glimpse at her “favorite tattoo” while posing in a backless hot pink swimsuit and white knee-high boots.
The pop star, 39, held up her hair to show off the typically hidden ink, writing on Instagram, “Have you seen the tattoo on the back of my neck before ????”
“It’s Hebrew, it’s a language written backwards !!!! It says Mem Hey Shin and means healing !!!!” she continued, adding with a series of winking emojis, “It’s my favorite tattoo but ironically you never see it.”
Although Spears seldom shows off her tattoos, her collection of ink also includes doubles crosses beneath her hips, a vine on her foot, a lip print on her right wrist and a fairy on her lower back.
She even got “carried away” with temporary tattoos in 2020, covering her body with henna designs.
While her neck tattoo still holds a special place in her heart, it seems Spears doesn’t love all her ink equally.
In a since-deleted Instagram post last March, she addressed the dice tattoo she got with ex Kevin Federline in 2004, writing, “I don’t even like ink …. guess I should remove it ?!?!!!!”
Added Spears at the time, “Albert Einstein once said ‘God does not play dice with the universe’ …. so maybe I shouldn’t have gotten the pink dice 7 on my left arm ?????? !!!!!”
In addition to the plunging neon one-piece that “makes [her] tan pop,” the star has been favoring skintight swimsuits and bodysuits in her recent Instagram posts.
She’s recently rocked several animal-print styles, including a sheer leopard catsuit and a snakeskin design nodding to her famous 2001 VMAs performance.
And the electric-hued suit isn’t the only time Spears has been thinking pink this summer: she recently enlisted her go-to hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, to dye her blond hair “champagne pink.”
