Brits swoon over pork pie cocktail but it looks like heartburn in a drink

Brits have had a lot to say about their cuisine recently.

It was only yesterday a fiery debate took place on Twitter regarding what faced the cut from a full English.

And, controversially it was the baked beans.

But breakfast fuelled arguments aside, people been brought together over the 'ultimate British cocktail'.

While many love a porn star martini or a classic cosmo, this new tipple has taken the fancy of punters and foodies alike.

Twitter meme account No Context Brits shared a picture of the concoction which won the hearts of Brits.

A pint of lager usually doesn't come with garnish – but many have made an exemption in this case.

Instead of a sugared rim or a slice of lime this pint was decorated with a hefty pork pie along with a pink straw.

It certainly made for a very geezer themed cocktail!

In awe over the 'British' boozy treat, many people fled to the comments to praise the innovative pint.

One person commented: "Not a bad combo let's be honest."

Another user added: "If you ever want an idea of what it means to be British, in drink form, it's a pork pie lager cocktail with a pink straw."

While a third voiced: "Pork pint."

Someone else wrote: "Northern Cocktail."

Meanwhile, a fifth declared: "Now that’s a garnish."

However, not everyone was so keen on the pork pie pint cocktail.

This user admitted: "I feel ill."

As another slammed: "Industrial heartburn right there…"

Let us know in the comments what you think of the pastry garnished pint – genius or madness?

Previously, Brits banded together to defend the British staple which is beans on toast after an American was left in hysterical laughter over the dish.
