Cadbury has sparked a frenzy with the unexpected announcement that it’s celebrating the 50th birthday of the Creme Egg with a limited edition beer.
The Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout made in collaboration with Chicago-founded brewers Goose Island will be available to order online with 2x440ml cans for £10.
Social media users have taken to Twitter admitting they’re very eager to try the beverage, with many saying they’re ‘curious’ about the taste.
The limited edition drink mirrors the rich and creamy taste of the classic confectionery, by blending malted barley, oats, wheat and milk sugar with cacao nibs and vanilla beans that lift the chocolatey and creme notes.

More than 200 million Cadbury Creme Eggs are sold in the UK alone every year, despite the treat only being available between Boxing Day and Easter.
And social media users have been quick to react to the announcement that those over age 18 will be able to pair their favourite treat with a refreshing drink from 11AM today.
One person wrote: ‘Looking forward to this. Would be awesome if there was a gift pack with the glass too. Great Easter egg substitute’
‘Very curious to try that! Reckon it will just taste like coffee like the rest though,’ another said.
A third added: ‘Oh i’m not sure about this one, Creme Egg beer! Half my brain goes ‘mmm’! but then my other half goes ‘What what what what’! I feel VERY conflicted!’

Raphael Capitani who is the brand manager for Cadbury Creme Egg, unveiled the beer saying: ‘ We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Goose Island and limited-edition Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout that is available now for all Cadbury Creme Egg lovers to try.
‘We have always celebrated the unique and wonderful ways of enjoying a Cadbury Creme Egg and with this launch we are taking EATertainment to a whole new level.
