Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Charles are senior working members of the Royal Family and are often seen out together in public. As well as attending events and engagements together, Camilla regularly visits organisations on her own.

Although Charles, the Prince of Wales, is the current heir to the throne, Camilla will not be Queen when he becomes King.

Clarence House previously confirmed that Camilla will be known as Princess Consort instead.

A spokesperson for the couple previously said: “The intention is for the Duchess to be known as Princess Consort when the Prince accedes to the throne.

“This was announced at the time of marriage and there has been absolutely no change at all.”

Although the future Princess Consort of the country often carries out visits with her husband, one body language expert has claimed that Charles is still “the star of the show”.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, body language expert Judi James explained: “Despite this increasing tendency though their body language still makes it very clear who is the star of the show and the prime performer.

“We might have forgotten about Charles’s love of stage performances but at university he often looked happiest when he was performing comic turns and sketches to an audience.

“This love of the spotlight became suppressed in later years, when he was competing first with Diana and then with two far more charismatic sons, but now with Camilla he appears in some moments to be loving every minute of the public attention.

“Camilla is a body language enabler of this trait as she is always more than happy to step back and attract minimum attention.”

The expert explained that when walking together, Charles will often be a few steps ahead of his wife.

Judi added: “When they pose close together then we can see some mirroring with the mutual hunching and hand clasps, but when Charles warms to his performance, walking ahead and using attention-seeking gestures like the point and the splayed arms, he can do so confidently, knowing he is not about to be upstaged by the woman who is probably his greatest fan.”

The body language expert also previously commented on Camilla’s signals, explaining that she “always has an air of quiet caution in public”.

She said: “She looks perfectly happy to have her husband take centre stage and to take her lead from him rather than raising her profile or stepping out of his shadow.

“This perfectly defines the kind of complementary relationship that might not be for everyone but which works for both Charles and Camilla.

“Any more intimate signals tend to be reserved for the kind of officials they have taken for birthdays and anniversaries and in these we do get a glimpse of a much more openly fond relationship as Camilla relaxes and switches out of her more formal royal role.”

When Prince Charles proposed to Camilla in 2005, the royal presented the Duchess with a gorgeous engagement ring.

A study by jewellery retailers EST1897 recently revealed some of the most expensive engagement rings in the Royal Family.

According to the experts, Camilla’s ring features five carats and is an emerald cut ring.

In the UK, the average weight of a diamond in an engagement ring sits at 0.6 carats, which means the Duchess’ ring is significantly larger than the standard carat.

Emerald cut engagement rings are extremely rare and harder to find, which no doubt increases the price of the pieces.

According to EST1897 Camilla’s engagement ring, which once belonged to the Queen Mother, is now worth an estimated £100,000.
