Clinic boss accidentally sends rude text after woman asks for sick leave

A woman was left fuming when she asked for a sick leave to get a Covid test – only to have received a rude text from her boss complaining her "trying to get off work".

Medical assistant Connie Waters has now quit the job after the incident that happened after the Christmas weekend.

Sharing on TikTok, she exposed her former boss by posting their conversations and said it's "that time my boss accidentally texted me instead of my co-workers to talk s***."

Connie texted: "I'm wondering if I should get re-tested for flu and Covid. I woke up this morning with literally no voice and my throat is on fire, and my head is killing me.

"I just took my temperature, it was 99.7F (37.6C) so no actual fever, still."

Her manger then replied asking her to bring a negative result the next day if she's going to get a second test.

But then soon Connie received another text message, which was not supposed to be sent to her, as it read: "For f***s sake!! Already trying to get off work.

"Her Facebook pictures over the weekend didn't look like she was sick."

Connie read the message and replied to her boss that it was very "nice" of her and she would like to resign on the spot.

"Good luck finding somebody else to fill that position because I'll be there tomorrow to get my things and that's it," she wrote.

Her boss apologised and said: "You were not supposed to see that.

"I was sending that text to my husband. Please call me, I wanted to apologise, I'm very sorry.

"If you get re-tested and it's negative, will you be at work tomorrow?"

Connie then told her viewers that it turned out she was tested positive for coronavirus the next day and she never went back to the clinic for work.
