Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has been part of some huge storylines since she set foot on the cobbles in 2019.

The Nina Lucas actress is currently at the heart of a powerful storyline on the ITV soap after she is brutally beaten and hospitalised following an unprovoked attacked because of the way she looks.

However, off-screen, the 23 year old actress lives in a Manchester apartment with her boyfriend, Dan Myres, who is a guitarist in a band called Inego, and the loved-up pair have been together for over a year.

Mollie posted a sweet snap of the pair to her 34,300 Instagram followers on Valentine’s Day last February, captioned: “Valentine’s Day and our anniversary all in two days. Happy 1 year of Mol and Dan, I love you.”

The Corrie star looked very different from her on-screen character in the selfie and opted for pink lipstick with just a flick of mascara for her date night with Dan.

She wore her signature raven locks in loose curls and accessorised with a nose ring and silver hoops.

In another picture the talented actress can be seen posing with round sunglasses on while wearing a black faux fur coat on a walk.

It comes after Corrie fans were left in “floods of tears” on Friday night after Seb Franklin tragically died on the ITV soap.

Roy Cropper’s niece Nina woke up from the coma on the devastating episode while Seb’s brain function was impaired as a result of the horrific hate crime at the hands of notorious bad boy Corey Brent, played by Maximus Evans, and his mates.

Seb’s mum Abi Franklin, played by Sally Carman, was told his “brain is no longer sending messages to his body” by the doctor and the medics told her that there “was nothing more we could do” to save her son.

One wrote: “Wow we are all sat here in floods of tears….. my heart breaks, so sad I hope Seb and Nina get the justice they deserve!

“I wish people were kind and nice, can’t stand bullies.”

Another penned: “Really gutted about Seb. That was heart-breaking to watch.”

The attack mirrors the real-life story of Sophie Lancaster who was involved in an unprovoked attack as she walked through a park in Lancashire with her boyfriend Rob in 2007 because of her appearance.

Sophie tragically died at Hope Hospital, Salford, aged just 20 years old, in August 2007.

Sophie’s mum, Sylvia Lancaster OBE, set up The Sophie Lancaster Foundation in her daughter’s memory to challenges prejudices and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures.
