Coronation Street’s Mollie Gallagher gets striking two-toned hair transformation

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has wowed fans with a brand new hair makeover, meaning we could see her on-screen character Nina Lucas with a whole new look in the coming weeks.

The 23 year old unveiled the new look on her Instagram page, posing with her hair in a half-up style in two different snaps.

Whereas before her style was all-over dark brunette colour, the top section has now been bleached cool blonde, while the rest has been dyed jet black.

The star has also had a few inches chopped off for good measure, plus added a curtain fringe to her centre parted locks.

Naturally, several of Mollie’s thousands of Instagram followers took to the comments section to praise the actress on her new look.

"OMG THE HAIR IM SHOOK," one fan excitedly wrote, as another added, "Love the hair! Looks amazing".

Meanwhile a third fan added, "Stunning as always your hair looks amazing" as a fourth said, "Looking beautiful love the hair".

One fan even went as far as to compare Mollie to singer Billie Eilish, and we’re not going to lie, we can definitely see the resemblance with the dramatic shade choice.

Earlier this year the star stepped out on the red carpet of the OK! -sponsored NTAs with her former hair colour, where she won the award Best Serial Performance for her work on Coronation Street.

Mollie was visibly emotional when she collected her award, describing her Corrie role as a “dream come true”.

Die-hard fans of the ITV soap will no doubt be wondering what this new look means for her character, Nina, on the show – will she stick to the dark brunette look, or be spotted with her alter-ego’s real hair?

Only time will tell if the character will also be debuting this dramatic style in Wetherfield!
