Liz Hurley’s only child, son Damian Hurley, is all grown up and celebrating his 21st birthday today.
Damian is the son of Liz Hurley, who was recently forced to deny she took Prince Harry's virginity, and businessman Steve Bing, who dated for 18 months at the turn of the millennium.
However, the relationship rapidly soured when Liz fell pregnant with son Damian in 2001.
Steve denied that the baby was his and accused his ex-girlfriend of infidelity, but was forced to acknowledge his son as his own when a DNA test proved that he was in fact Damian’s dad.
Steve agreed to hand over a staggering £1.8 million in child support in monthly instalments of 100k, but Liz was defiant and refused to accept the money.
Despite Steve’s willingness to pay child support, the father and son remained estranged until the millionaire businessman’s sudden death in June 2020.
The then 55 year old businessman took his own life by jumping from a window in Los Angeles, leaving behind a greatly diminished £250,000 fortune, which went to the children of his sister.
On father’s day 2022, Damian posted a series of snaps in tribute to the “father figures” in his life, but his biological dad was absent from the collection of pics.
Instead, Damian paid tribute to godfathers Hugh Grant and Sir Elton John, family friend and shoe designer Patrick Cox and his mother’s former fiancé, late cricketer Shane Warne.
It certainly seems like, despite a rocky start, Damian grew up surrounded by loved ones.
He spent much of his childhood between Gloucestershire in the UK and Australia.
During the earliest years of his life, Liz made sure her son kept a low profile but began pursuing a career in showbusiness in his teens.
Aged just 14, Damian was cast alongside his actress mum in 2015 E! Soap series The Royals as Prince Hansel to appear in two episodes.
He later tried his hand at modelling and signed his first deal as a 16 year old with agency Tess Management.
His first major gig was for makeup brand Pat McGrath back in 2019, when he fronted a campaign for her new Sublime Perfection foundation range.
A year later, the young star was signed to major modelling agency IMG, which represents some of the world’s most famous models including Kate Moss, Bella Hadid and Cara Delevigne.
He’s since made a name for himself in the industry and has done shoots for Vogue, who called him a “supermodel in the making” and a second campaign for Pat McGrath.
Despite his career, Damian – who is often said to closely resemble his famous mum – has largely kept his private and romantic life under wraps.
He has been linked to artist and old schoolfriend Millie Griffiths, who he was spotted frolicking with in Portofino in Summer 2022, but the romance was never confirmed and Damian has never publicly addressed the speculation.
