Lisa Riley can currently be found lighting up screens on Emmerdale where she plays Mandy Dingle.
The 45 year old has acted in the hit soap since 1996 and during this time has been involved countless dramatic storylines.
Her almost three decade spanning appearances have led viewers curious to learn more about her life off screen.
When she's not on set on Emmerdale, Lisa lives in Yorkshire with her fiance who she has been engaged to since 2014. Let's take a look.
Off screen, Lisa has suffered her fair share of heartbreak before eventually finding the love of her life.
The actress said yes to a proposal from her partner Al in 2014, sharing the happy news via social media.
"Yes I can now confirm the rumours are true….I have got engaged..,." Lisa said at the time.
"My soul mate and best mate and love of my life Al is the best thing to have ever happened to me….we have absolutely NO date set for ANY wedding day, just happy together…zero fuss, just firmed our togetherness."
The couple "hadn't ruled out" marrying in 2021, however, the pandemic could have paused their plans.
Back in January Lisa took to Instagram with a rare snap of the pair as they went on a romantic day out.
However, Lisa has admitted that walking down the aisle without her mother there will be hard.
Her mum sadly died in 2012 at the soap star's home, from cancer in 2012, aged 57.
She spoke about her grief to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show in October, saying: "I wanted to be unbelievably honest and tell the truth about what I go through daily.
"The uphill struggle I have massively with being judged. I have it on set with Emmerdale when I'm at work.
"Everyone knows me as having this fun, happy personality which is me. But the days I'm down, I find myself going, 'It's okay, it's okay' because I feel like I'm being judged.
"People are like, 'Come on Lise, it's been nine years – you should be over it by now.' Well no – it's as worse today as when mum initially passed nine years ago in July."
In 2019, Lisa revealed that she and her partner had been trying for a baby and underwent IVF treatment.
She told The Mirror last year after signing a new Emmerdale contract: "I really struggled losing my mum and going through IVF but even at the end of it all I know how lucky I am.
"I have such an amazing partner who loves and supports me. I don’t have kids myself but my nieces and nephews are my world. I have a job I adore and have the most amazing friends and family."
Lisa has admitted that she used alcohol to try to cope with her overwhelming grief.
She told the One For The Road podcast: "I don't think that I would ever wear the badge and say, [I was] an alcoholic. I truly don't think I was.
"I think I was very very [dependent] on drink and as some people might take an antidepressant as it were, that was mine."
Lisa has been sober for the last six years and has since channeled her grief into a podcast exploring the subject with others.
