From tea in a BOOKCASE to a scotch egg in a trophy, 10 times restaurants served food in the most ridiculous way

NOWADAYS restaurants are pushing the boundaries when it comes to food presentation to stand out from the crowd.

But some bewildered diners have been left amused at some of the “ridiculous” and hipster-style offering they have been served.

This hilarious collection of images, compiled on Bored Panda, shows times went restaurants went too far when it came to creatively of food serving.

From sandwiches served on a bookcase, to meat artfully draped around a Barbie doll as a skirt, these food outlets have definitely thought outside the box with their creations.

One of the most sensation dishes showed a scotch egg being presented in none other than a silver trophy, modestly labelled the “world’s best scotch egg.”

And what would you do if your full English breakfast came served on a shovel of all things?

Meanwhile spare a thought for the consumer expecting a refreshing glass of orange juice, only to be presented with oranges and a squeezer so they can make it themselves.
