OVER A hundred Post Office's could close next month due to a strike by workers.
Staff in 114 Crown Post Office locations, who are Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU), are set to strike over a long-running dispute over pay.
On July 11, thousands of Post Office staff at more than 100 branches will walk out over a rejected pay offer, says The Mirror.
The union said the pay offer was worth 3%, recalling a freeze from April 2021 and a lump sum worth £500.
It called the offer "insulting" as prices soar and inflation hits 9.1%.
The Mirror reports most of Post Office's 11,500 branches won't be affected by strike action.

Strikes are likely to affect larger branches, so usually those in city centres which are run directly by Post Office.
They will close for one day.
It will be the third national strike by Post Office workers this year.
CWU assistant secretary Andy Furey said: “No worker wants to be in this situation, but Post Office bosses can’t be surprised that callous decisions are challenged by our members."
