Full list of bank branches closing this month including Barclays and Lloyds | The Sun

SOME 57 bank branches across the UK are closing their doors within the next few weeks.

The closures come as major high street banks opt to transition more of their banking services online.

Data from the UK's largest cash machine network, LINK, keep track of any planned branch closures across the UK.

And The Sun found that there are 57 planned closures happening between now and the end of November.

Barclays is set to close 13 branches and Lloyd Bank is set to put the shutters up at 23 of their branches. 

Other big banks planning to shut shop include Halifax, which is set to close 15 branches.

Building society, Nationwide will also close six branches this month.

Typically if there are no banks in a town, you should be able to do some basic banking in your local post office. 

Many banks also offer a mobile banking service.

This is where your bank brings a bus to your local area that has the services that are usually available at your branch.

You should call up your bank to see if it runs a banking bus and they will be able to tell you where and when it will be parked.

Other banks use buildings such as village halls or libraries to offer mobile banking services.

Some 4,685 bank branches have closed since 2015.

Here is a full list of the 57 bank branches that are going to close along with the date they are planning on putting up the shutters.
