Long hair has reigned supreme for so long that we're still amazed each time a celebrity decides to ditch their lengths for a shorter and trendier style. Bob haircuts have been increasing in popularity since last year, and driving the trend are the fashionable likes of Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Zendaya and, now, Georgia May Foote.
The former Corrie and Strictly Come Dancing star took to her Instagram grid yesterday to share the news that she'd decided to go back to an old faithful look of hers: a chin-skimming bob. Plus, she used the time in the hairdressers to go lighter with her hair colour.
"Brought the bob back didn’t we @natalieaustonhair, I do love to go lighter and shorter in the summer with my hair. Hoping this sun sticks around for a bit!" Georgia captions the snap.
Fans, of course, are loving the change to her look with plenty saying they much prefer short hair on the actress.
"I feel like a bob is so you, you pull off every length amazingly but the bob is just perfect on you," says one, while a second comments: It really works for you shorter. I do think taking it to chin length would look great – and a great way to change it up without chopping too much."
A third simply adds: "Hello, bob".
Georgia has been transitioning to a lighter hair colour for a few months now. Back in June, and before her fairytale summer wedding, the actress posted that she'd decided to get a balayage for the big day. She also took a couple of inches off the ends of her previously mid-length hair to turn it into a long bob.
Now that the wedding is over, it seems she's keen to enter phase two of the transformation with an even shorter cut and lighter, caramel-toned colour.
As we say, bobs are the 'it' accessory in the celebrity world at the moment. Just this week A-list actress Emma Stone decided it was high time she swapped her own long hair for a chin-skimming blunt cut. Paired with her fresh blonde hair colour, the final look definitely has a touch of Holly Willoughby to it.
We wonder who will go short next!
