Grenade Carb Killa launches high-protein white choc and peanut ice cream bars

Many people will be hitting the protein bars again now that gyms will soon be open again.

However, as the weather gets warmer, why not try a high-protein ice cream?

Protein bar brand Grenade Carb Killa has just released the Carb Killa Ice Cream, available at Tesco in two yummy flavours.

The White Chocolate Cookie and Peanut Nutter flavoured ice cream bars are (you've guessed it) high in protein, whilst low in sugar and calories.

The two flavours are both now available in Tesco (online and in store) at £5 for a pack of four individually wrapped bars for your convenience.

The White Chocolate Cookie variety are just 120 calories and contain only 1.7h of sugar while providing 6.5g of protein.

They consist of vanilla protein ice cream with a mouth-watering chocolate sauce, topped with a layer of chocolate cookie crumb, and covered in smooth white milk chocolate.

Meanwhile the Peanut Nutter flavour contain 137 calories, 0.9 g of sugar and 6.9 g of protein.

This comprises caramel protein ice cream with a delicious caramel sauce, topped with a layer of roasted peanuts, and covered in smooth milk chocolate.

The ice cream bars, which are great for a post-workout snack, are also suitable for vegetarians.

Talking about the new ice cream bars, qualified nutritionist and personal trainer Chloe Madeley commented: "The most common dietary struggles my clients come up against include hitting higher protein targets and adhering to lower calorie diets.

"A 120 calorie ice cream with an additional boost in protein is a no brainer.

"Whether the goal is to gain muscle mass or lose body fat, Grenade’s Carb Killa Ice Cream is undoubtedly a dietary saviour!"

The new ice creams come after Snickers launched a new white chocolate protein bar last month.

The Snickers Hi Protein White Chocolate bar contains 20g protein and provides 233 calories.
