Gwen Stefani ditches signature blonde strands for brunette

Gwen Stefani has traded in her signature blonde strands for a brand new brunette look.

Ahead of performing on the finale of “The Voice,” the singer posted a striking selfie-style photo wearing her go-to scarlet red lipstick along with a high brunette ponytail and bangs.

She teased in the caption, “ps i also know is going to win.”

Since posting, Stefani’s glam shot featuring her new brunette strands has been liked more than 123,000 times, and lots of fans sharing mixed feelings about her look.

Kandee Johnson shared in a comment how much she loved the dark hair. Instagrammer @allaboutjfc said, “I’ve loved Gwen since long before I knew how to write, and forgive me, but this look is awful.”

Another chimed in with similar thoughts, saying, “Nice, but blond suits you better.”

This isn’t the first time the “Hollaback Girl” singer has changed up her look.

In March, she shared a photo from a photo shoot wearing a deep dark blunt cut bob hairstyle for Wonderland magazine.

The soon-to-be bride has also been keeping busy with her upcoming wedding.

Blake Shelton recently told USA Today that Stefani is in charge of the planning.

“I think she knows that it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control,” he joked.
