Have I left it too late to leave my nasty husband? | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: HAVE I left it too late to leave my nasty husband?

At 67, I’ve lived with 40 years of his abuse, his sulks, moodiness and name-calling.

He talks over me, never listens and, if we argue, he’s quick with his words, shouting me down so I am backed into a corner and can’t think straight.

He is 72. We’ve never had children and I’ve worked all my life.

He doesn’t know, but I’ve saved a bit of money and I’ve got a pension.

I think I would be fine on my own but is it foolish? Will I regret it if something happens to me and I’m alone?
