Bargains hunters will often try their luck by venturing into charity shops to find designer items or expensive goods on the cheap.
And now one woman has claimed she walked away from a charity shop with the ultimate steal – a woman's engagement ring she bought for just £1 with no idea of what it could be worth.
Ellie Page – who works in marketing – filmed the story for her 30,000 social media followers under the username @elliepaage.

In the clip, which has gained more than 474,000 likes, Ellie claimed she had a 'crazy feeling' that she needed to pop into her 'favourite' charity shop on her way home.
She then detailed how inside she stumbled across an 'amazing' deal during the Bank Holiday weekend.
In a video, which has surpassed a whopping 2.9 million views on TikTok to date, she explained: "POV – you have a crazy feeling that you need to go into your favourite charity shop on the way as you think you're going to find something amazing.
"When you go in there's a woman in there, she's saying 'this is my engagement ring, I don't want it, and I don't want any of the money that comes from selling it, I don't want anything to do with this man, I don't want anything from him'.
"The store assistant is like, 'Oh my god, are you sure?' The woman goes, 'I want you to put it in the charity shop and list it for £1 – I want you to sell this for £1 and whoever buys it, it's their lucky day'.
"You want it to be your lucky day so you go up to the woman and say, 'I'll buy – list it for a pound and I'll buy it right now'.
"You buy it for £1 and now you own this woman's engagement ring."
She went on to explain that she had no idea about the jewellery's true worth and couldn't "get it valued because it's Bank Holiday".
She said it was a "big fat mystery" as to whether it was her lucky day or not but she did at least bag the "really pretty ring" for a bargain price.
