My cousin, 32, was being particularly tactile – hugging me and holding my hand a lot.

We’ve always been close – we have mutual friends from school – but I thought it was because she was drunk.

As I went to say goodbye at the end of the night, she dragged me into one of the bedrooms. Next thing I knew, we were kissing.

We haven’t spoken since, but I can’t stop thinking about her – and I’m hoping it’s the same for her.

The fact we’re cousins doesn’t bother me, but I’m worried what our family would think.

DEIDRE SAYS: In the UK, it is legal to have a romantic relationship with your cousin.

But you’re jumping ahead of yourself here. First you need to know how your cousin feels.

If it’s not the answer you’re hoping for, my support pack Moving On will help.

Good luck.
