A THRIFTY shopper has revealed how she shaved over 70% off her weekly basket with one easy move.

The woman took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page to share how she got £20 off her shopping by using the Lidl Plus App.

The app offers a range of benefits, including exclusive discounts from Lidl's partners, and a scratch card every time you shop which gives you the chance to win up to £20 off your next trip.

And one shopper with the app took to social media to share how winning her scratch card had seen her bill reduce drastically.

She said: "If you don't have the Lidl Plus App yet I fully recommend getting it!

"You get a scratch card on the app each time you shop, and when I scratched mine this morning I won £20 off my shopping!

One said: "Well done. I only ever win vouchers for money off things I never buy."

While another helpfully added: "It’s so worth getting!"

Meanwhile, one user said: "I didn’t even realise there was a scratch card!

"I’ve just found it! Thanks."

Lidl launched its Lidl Plus app just under two years ago, marking the first time the German supermarket giant had offered customers such a scheme.
