I sell 'Britain's cheapest fuel'…Drivers come from miles around and queue as our petrol and diesel is 15p less per litre | The Sun

A GARAGE owner who claims to sell Britain's cheapest fuel says drivers come from miles around and queue up.

Vijay Jaganathan is selling petrol and diesel for 15p less per litre from his station in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Advertising both fuels at £1.29, the Eastgate Garage comes in significantly lower than the rest of the UK.

The average price for petrol elsewhere is £1.45 and diesel is £1.51 per litre, according to the RAC.

Vijay said the low prices will stay "for the next few weeks" after he recently switched to supplier Texaco.

The change meant Vijay can now buy fuel in bulk and offer customers better deals.

Claiming Texaco have confirmed his "cheapest in the UK" status, he said: "We had our first delivery yesterday and the queues have been really long, but luckily we serve our customers very quickly.

"These prices are an opening offer, but they will definitely continue with our aim of being the cheapest around.

"We are currently the cheapest in the UK – this has been confirmed to me by Texaco."

It comes after another petrol station owner backed The Sun’s Keep It Down campaign and brought down his prices.

“Whether you drive a van, a hatchback or a people carrier I know how much you need to be on the road.

“Keeping it down means hard-working people will have an extra £100 this year without having to cut down using their vehicle.”
