DEAR DEIDRE: WORKING as a primary school teacher, I regularly witness the damaging effect warring parents have on their children.
I’m a woman of 51. You can often sense when a child’s parents are fighting because they often become withdrawn or disruptive.
This affects everything from their learning to their friendships.
It’s so sad to see. Do you have any resources I can give to parents to help them?
DEIDRE SAYS: Unfortunately, so many couples are so blindsided by their complaints with their partner, they lose sight of their children’s needs.
But parents can separate respectfully, if they can agree to put their differences aside when making childcare decisions and truly bear in mind what is best for their child.
