MAJOR supermarkets will be making changes to their opening hours during the Christmas period.
Christmas Day falling on a Sunday means that there is a substitute bank holiday on December 27.
Iceland has almost 1,000 stores nationwide, and is one of the most popular supermarkets in the UK.
Here, we have rounded up all the information you need to know about Iceland's opening times over the Christmas bank holiday.
Is Iceland open over the Christmas bank holiday?
Iceland is closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day in 2022, in a change to previous years.
This change is to give staff a rest after a busy few years.

Iceland boss Richard Walker tweeted in October 2022: "We’ll be closing all our Iceland and Food Warehouse stores on Boxing Day, to give our colleagues a well-earned rest with their friends & families."
Stores will be open on Christmas Eve, which falls on a Saturday, but beware as the supermarket will be operating reduced hours, as people prepare for the celebrations.
They will reopen on December 27 – which is a bank holiday – and will be open 8am to 8pm until New Year's Eve.
The chain will be open on New Year's Eve but some stores may close earlier, so make sure you check and buy your essentials for the New Year festivities in plenty of time.

Iceland is opening on New Year's Day, but as it is a Sunday will be operating under the Sunday trading laws where large stores cannot open for more than six hours.
The earliest a large supermarket can open on Sundays under the law is 10am, with the latest time it can close at 6pm.
You should check the store's locator on their website to make sure your local outlet is open before heading out.
Deliveries are available on Christmas Eve for a fee, with free delivery returning on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
