Identical twin sisters who married identical twin brothers – and had ‘sibling’ sons

When identical twins Briana and Brittany Deane met identical twin brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers, it was love at first sight.

The sisters, 35, married the brothers, 37, in a joint ceremony back in 2018 and became pregnant months apart.

Now the two couples share one-year-old sons – Jax and Jett – so genetically similar they’re more like brothers than cousins.

The foursome live under the same roof and are one of about 300 ‘quaternary’ marriages in the whole world!

“Jett and Jax were born to identical twin parents less than nine months apart,” Brittany explained to TODAY Parents. “Twins married to twins who both have babies at the same time.”

The two couples found fame in America after their joint ceremony was filmed for TV channel TLC.

The foursome married in fairytale style at the 2018 Twins Days Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio.

And the sisters happily became pregnant at the same time.

Jeremy and Briana are parents to Jax, who will turn one in April, while Josh and Brittany are parents to Jett, who turned one in January.

Here’s the complicated bit: Identical twins share the same DNA and the children of two pairs of identical twins are legally cousins, but genetically more similar to siblings.

Briana shared: “We were hoping that we would have overlapping pregnancies so that this [quaternary twins] would happen. We thought it would be really cool.

“There’s only 300 quaternary marriages known in the history of the world.”

After tying the knot, both families opted to move in together and share a home in Virginia.

Brittany explained of their alternative choice: “It was something we all four wanted and when we got engaged, we all wanted it that way.

“It's very nice. [Josh and Jeremy] understand the twin bond like we do. We get to have a lot of together time.”

If you’re curious about the mirror-image family, they share an Instagram page full of cute snaps of the twin babies, plus shorts of the foursome in matching clothes.

The couples run a wedding venue site together, too, to help husbands and wives to have a fairytale day just like their own.

But their unusual living arrangement isn’t always met with positivity.

The sisters revealed that they’re faced with unpleasant trolls from time to time.

Brittany shared: “We try to ignore sociopathic stalker comments and just focus on the positive.

“Some people think we are really strange and others think it’s really amazing. We’ve gotten a lot of support and interest and we’ve been grateful for that.”
