I’m 53 and have worked as a pub manager since my 30s. I love my work and hoped to find something similar once restrictions were lifted.
But I always lose out to someone younger or more qualified than me.
I’m living on Jobseeker’s Allowance and even though I’ve cut my spending as much as possible, I’m still short by about £200 each month.
So I’m relying on my credit card and “buy now, pay later” schemes but I’ve racked up £4,000 in debt since March last year and I don’t see how this can stop any time soon.
