I'm thinking of leaving my husband because he has an unbearable jealous streak | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I’M close to leaving my husband because he keeps demanding to see my friends list on Facebook.

We’ve been married for almost 20 years and are both 44.

He’s always been the jealous type, asking who I’m seeing and what my male work colleagues are like.

He made some very inappropriate comments on Facebook years ago and, for that reason, his account was closed.

Since then, he’s never seen anything on my social media platforms.

He’s suddenly got all agitated about it and is fixated to know more about a male friend that I’ve known for years.

After yet another row last night, I gave him my phone and he went through contacts asking who certain people are.

Now he wants my password so he can log on to my account whenever he wants.

I have not texted any other man, and never would. I’ve not given him any reason to think that I’d cheat.

I’m getting really fed up.

DEIDRE SAYS:  I’m not surprised.

Something must have triggered him and it may not necessarily be down to you.

Perhaps a friend thinks his or her partner is cheating – or he may feel you are not as close as you were.

Explain to him you love him and want to enjoy what you have together, but accusing you and checking up on you is pushing you away.

My support pack Coping With Jealousy will show you how best to handle it.
