A mum has shared a simple cleaning hack to remove scratches from fridges, microwaves and other stainless steel appliances.
Liz Amaya, from Brisbane in Australia, revealed her three-step trick on TikTok using only two household items – toothpaste and a toothbrush.
In the clip posted on Easter Monday (April 5), she dabs a small amount of whitening toothpaste on an old toothbrush and brushes it on top of the scratch marks on her fridge.
Scrubbing in circular motions, Liz says: "Go with the grain of the stainless steel. Wipe over with a damp microfibre towel."
For a shiny finish, the cleaning guru advises viewers polish the appliances with a bit of oil, adding: "Wipe over with oil of your choice."
The scratch marks are significantly reduced and the hack left viewers impressed.
One commented: "I've never heard of this, great idea!"
Another said: "Really, I'm going to try this. Thank you."
Liz previously shared a hack to free up space inside a dishwasher so that it fits all sizes of pots and pans.
The trick was to lift up the upper tray and secure it a notch higher, leaving a bigger room at the lower compartment.
