Hoping to cheer someone up, she headed over to the tills and queued behind the shoppers.
"I'm scared, oh that's a big one. Yep I'm going to buy his," she said while waiting for the man to check out.
Admitting that she was having an internal panic attack, Amelia approached him and asked: "Excuse me, this may be really random but I would love to pay for your food shop today."
The man asked her why before he quickly turned down the offer.
She explained to him: "No, no, no, honestly I do this thing where I want to do something nice every…"
He interrupted and told her: "You really don't have to."
Milly walked away and realised that people were staring at her, so she approached another shopper and said: "I'm not sure if you heard but I would love to pay for your food shop, is that okay?"
Again, she was rejected. She stared at the camera and bit her lips, debating whether to leave because she felt "embarrassed and judged".
A woman told her: "There is a lot more deserving people in the world but thank you."
Another also refused to accept the offer, saying: "I feel too guilty for taking it."
Determined to do a good deed, Amelia decided to buy some pasta and sauces to put in a food bank.
When she left the shop, she broke down into tears.
"That was really stressful guys, I felt really like in panic mode," the Gymshark athlete shared.
"I was expecting someone to be overjoyed and grateful and happy for me to pay for their shopping but obviously that didn't go down well.
"Weird turnout but I'm still happy that the food can go to those who really need it.
"That was a big challenge for me as well because I just find social situations really quite hard, especially when I bring a lot of attention to myself and I don't like that so that's really hard for me."
Some viewers shared their thoughts and suggested the camera might have "put people off".
"Not gonna lie, I would be annoyed if someone tried to pay for my shopping do," one wrote.
A second said: "Good deed, however how you go about it determines how genuine it comes across and how it will be received.
"Ditch recording and go where the money is needed."
Amelia stressed her intentions were purely to brighten up someone's day, adding: "I’m still super happy with what I ended up doing and i’ll do more of it for sure."
