  • The ‘most beautiful royal’, who is 43rd in the line to British throne, made a name for herself in fashion world
  • She has shared snaps of her London pad, filled with quirky artwork, plants and flowers and luxurious candles

Often dubbed Britain’s ‘most beautiful royal,’ Lady Amelia Windsor has shown her good taste is as solid with interior design as it is with fashion.

The model, 26, who is 43rd in line for the British throne, has shared a glimpse of the Notting Hill flat she shares with her sister Marine, 29, which they turned into their ‘sanctuary,’ away from the bustle of the city.

Amelia, the granddaughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, who is the Queen’s cousin, is often snapped in London’s trendiest haunts.

But much like other millennials, the beauty loves nothing more than to relax at home, cooking pasta and taking care of her plants in a flat carefully curated with family mementos and quirky artwork.

Snaps shared on her Instagram account show that Amelia and Marina’s flat is a chic blend of retro charm and socialite flair.

Another part of the sisters’ flat is used by Amelia for her workouts. The model likes to keep fit with a variety of exercises and tools

Speaking to House and Garden in 2019, Amelia described the flat as ‘a peaceful place, perfect for us two and full of our collected memories’. ‘We aim to make it a little sanctuary amidst the busy-ness of London life,’ she added.

The walls are decorated with painted plates, reportedly bought by model Amelia during a trip to Italy. Amelia admitted the two sisters tend to collect items wherever their travels take them and in Portobello market.

Next to the kitchen, the pair can have dinner in their sitting room, which is big enough to host a table, a few chairs and a cupboard unit covered in bits and bobs, including picture frames and small mirrors as well as various cards and books.

‘The sitting room is my favourite part of the flat by far,’ Amelia said. ‘Whenever I’m at home, you’ll find me there listening to Radio 4 or 6 music with a cup of coffee.’

An understated cream sofa fits by the wall opposite the window for extra sitting and the walls are covered in art prints and pictures the pair have found in various markets and galleries. It also includes an oil painting by their Canadian grandmother, Josiane Yvonne Preschez.

Amelia has a collection of beloved houseplants she keeps in her flat and waters regularly, to add a pop of colour to her Notting Hill pad

The socialite’s bedroom is painted white, and she uses white bedding, a stark contrast from the rest of the flat, which is filled with colour

Amelia also loves to add a pop of colour to the flat thanks to an ever growing collection of potted plants, and she likes to add some more like with fresh cut flowers she gets on the weekends.  Both sisters have their room, Amelia’s being a clean space with white walls and bedding.

In spite of these muted tones in the bedroom, the rest of the flat is filled with bold patterns and vibrant colours, which Amelia said is an echo of her fashion style.

‘I wear lots of colour, especially warm hues of pink, so that is a recurrent theme in the apartment,’ she said.

As would be expected from a fashionista like the royal, her closet is full to the brim with outfits, shirts, coats and accessories, and she has admitted she’s had to sort through her clothes to get rid of any excess over the years.

The trendy socialite keeps all her jewellery and makeup on a white cupboard unit by her bedroom window, easily accessible when she gets ready to hit the town.

Snaps shared on the model’s social media revealed that she and Marina share a small terrace, secluded from view thanks to bamboo panelling, where they can relax away from nosy neighbours.
