Love Island star Indiyah Polack recently celebrated turning 24 with her boyfriend and reality TV co-star Dami Hope, who arranged for a special team of event planners to decorate his girlfriend’s room as a surprise.
Posting a series of sweet snaps on his Instagram, 26 year old Dami, who recently moved in with Indiyah, wrote: “Happy birthday baby, thank you for a love that makes sense.”
Whilst he added that he didn’t want to say too much on social media, Dami went on to express how he’s wishing that Indiyah achieves all her “wildest dreams,” and that 24 is going to be “even crazier,” for his girlfriend.
He also shared a series of pictures of their celebrations, including Indiyah still in her pyjamas on the bed surrounded by blue heart-shaped balloons, with what appears to be flowers behind her.
Dami also shared a snap of the room before the big reveal, where vases of white roses are shown to be scattered around the floor and what looks to be cookies are wrapped up and placed on display.
In a video, he also showed fans how he set up the dresser with pictures of their time together and prepared a black, heart-shaped cake to finish off the celebrations.
In the next picture, fans could see Indiyah pouting in front of her cake, which was iced with the text: “Indiyah 24”.
Dami and Indiyah met on Love Island in summer 2022.
They were both original Islanders but the couple weren’t matched together at first.
For the first time in the show’s history the public were able to vote for the Islanders they wanted to be in couples.
The viewers matched Indiyah with Ikenna Ekwonna and Dami was originally paired with Amber Beckford.
Dami and Indiyah started off as just friends, but as time passed they began to realise that they had a connection and, when Dami’s partner Amber was dumped from the villa, decided to pursue this.
The couple didn’t have an easy ride from there, however, as both Dami and Indiyah chose to recouple with new Islanders during Casa Amor, a time in the show when the boys and girls are separated and have the opportunity to get to know a new set of Islanders.
Despite an acrimonious reunion in the main villa, Dami and Indiyah were eventually able to reconcile and eventually finished in third place, behind winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti, who recently had a nasty rollerblading accident, and runners up Luca Bish and Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma.
