Inside Love Island’s new bombshell Antigoni Buxton’s relationship with former contestant

A new bombshell is set to enter the Love Island villa, with musician Antigoni Buxton on her way to surprise the Islanders.

It was revealed during Tuesday (21 June) night's episode that the singer and songwriter, 26, is the latest bombshell to head into the villa, and there's no doubt she'll ruffle some feathers.

It's now been revealed that Antigoni is already familiar with the ITV2 dating show, as she's previously dated a former Islander.

Antigoni, who is the daughter of celebrity TV chef Tonia Buxton, enjoyed a short-lived romance with Jack Fowler, 26, who appeared on Love Island back in 2018.

Jack and Antigoni are believed to have dated for a few months but unfortunately their romance eventually fizzled out.

The former Islander, who is a DJ and model, appeared on the ITV2 dating show as a bombshell himself back in 2018, and coupled up with both Laura Anderson and Laura Crane during his time in the villa.

Antigoni's romance with Jack came after she split from her longterm boyfriend, who she was with for nine years.

The pair split so that Antigoni could focus more on her music career, which has continued to go from strength to strength over recent years.

As well as having a famous parent, the 26 year old blonde beauty also appears to have a number of celebrity pals.

After it was revealed on Instagram that she was heading into the villa, numerous familiar faces flocked to wish Antigoni luck, including Too Hot To Handle star Chloe Veitch who wrote: "No way!!!! Abhhh baby!!! So proud of you!!!!!"

Former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James said: "Yes Antigoni… good luck lovely," and former Love Islander wrote: "Go Orn".

Speaking about her decision to enter the villa, Antigoni revealed that she's been single for over a year now and has "nothing to lose" by going on the show.

She said: "I’ve been single for almost a year and a half and for the whole of the last year my goal has been to have as many different experiences as possible.

"I really just want to say ‘yes’ to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose!"

Ahead of her stint on the show, a pal told MailOnline: "Antigoni is certainly going to turn some heads. She's great fun and is naturally very beautiful, as well as being talented with a good head on her shoulders.

"Her music has always been her priority, but she just couldn't turn down the chance to go on Love Island as she's a big fan of the show and it also means she's guaranteed a fun summer."

A preview of Wednesday's episode of Love Island showed Antigoni surprising the Islanders by appearing by the swimming pool as they got up in the morning, with many of the boys shocked to see her.

Meanwhile, the girls spotted her from the balcony and her arrival had clearly ruffled some feathers as they all stood in shock.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
