Inside Olivia and Alex Bowen’s latest renovation project as couple share ‘before’ snaps

OliviaandAlex Bowen welcomed their first child together in Juneand since then the proud parents have been in a “newborn bubble”.

The pair, who met on Love Island in 2016, are no strangers to DIY and previouslydid up their own £1 million Essex homeand successfully refurbishedAlex's childhood homelast year.

Now, as the pair get used to being a family of three, they took time out of their “newborn bubble” as baby Abel turns a month old, to show off their next home renovation project.

On a dedicated Instagram page boasting 776,000 followers, Olivia, 28, updated fans on the latest renovation the pair will be undertaking: “I’ve missed posting so much, Hello again!

“We’ve just been in our little newborn bubble for the past month (can’t believe he’s a month old, what the F) so I haven’t been posting or actually doing anything interior based. I’m so excited to get back going on bits & bobs & wanted to firstly show you some images of the property we’re renovating!

“So, we completed our first rental last year & now we’re onto the second! I cannot wait to see this one completed.”

She explained that the house is a three bedroom with a “lovely garden” and with a little TLC could be a “perfect family home”.

“The main challenges are the kitchen & bathroom as they need a complete rip out & refit! The other rooms however are mostly cosmetic! We have got a door to block up & a doorway to open but other than that it’s a really great little straight forward reno! Can’t wait to get it all looking fresh, the difference will be amazing!

“So grateful to have my father in law working on the project for us whilst we can’t get there as it’s a little far from us, but I’m hoping to go very soon so I can get lots of videos & pics of the progress for you all.”

The pictures of the home the pair posted to the account featured a living room with a green carpet and fireplace.

While another room had a thick maroon carpet and what looks like leopard print wallpaper with hints of brown at the bottom.

The bathroom is made up of pale blue tiles and a matching floor with white blinds across the window.

While they’ll be renovating a house for another family, the pair have also been doing up their own Essex mansion.

Shortly after Abel’s birth, the reality pairshowed off his finished safari-themed nursery.

Given that Olivia and Alex chose not to know the gender of their baby during Olivia’s pregnancy, the couple have opted for a beige and cream colour scheme.

The space features wood flooring, light walls as well as a gorgeous animal mural that features illustrations of giraffes and palm trees.

Various wildlife references can be found in other places throughout the room, including in little Abel’s cot which is filled with a selection of cuddly toys including a lamb, giraffe and adorable elephant.
