PaddyandChristine McGuinnessconfirmed thatafter 11 years of marriage they are splitting up.
Presenter Paddy, 48, and model Christine, 34, shared a joint statement on social media stating that their three children will be their main priority.
They penned: “We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.
"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.
"We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life.
"Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We'll be making no further comment."
The couple signed off: "Loads of love. Paddy & Christine."
Just hours before the pair released the statement Paddy shared a snap to his Instagram account ofhimself and Christine grinning while enjoying a family break.
The family of five have spent a few days in Centre Parcs as Paddy told followers they were set to jet off to Spain but daughter Felicity’s passport expired just before they were set to fly.
He said: “We’d been telling the kids all about it, especially the airport part, so to suddenly change plans wasn’t easy! Mums and Dads with Autistic children will know exactly what I mean.
“Thankfully we got lucky and found the last available lodge at Centre Parcs, I booked it straight away. It was a big tree house and the kids absolutely loved it!!! We had a full week of activities booked for them and discovered a few of our childrens hidden talents, namely scaling the indoor climbing walls.”
Christine called the trip “tree-mendous” and said the family made “memories for life” on their getaway.
Despite the split, the family’s trip looked incredible and there were plenty of activities.
They enjoyed some time at the beach and six year old Felicity, and twins Leo and Penelope, nine, enjoyed decorating some cupcakes.
The McGuinness clan enjoyed some time at the arcade and dabbled in a spot of rock climbing with even Christine taking part.
Christine included a clip of the family playing bowling and a snap of herself treetop climbing as the family made the most of their trip.
The family were in high spirits for the trip and as they returned Paddy penned: "We’re home now to our own beds, which no holiday can ever beat!"
