Inside Ruth and Eamonn’s personalised Christmas decorations at Surrey mansion

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have shared their adorable personalised Christmas set up ahead of the big day this weekend.

The TV couple showcased the tree and decorations at their home in Surrey, explaining a sentimental reason behind one of the baubles.

Ruth uploaded a picture of the display on her social media channels where she showed off a trinket with an extra personal touch.

The bauble has a painted picture of their beloved pet dog, Maggie, with her name inscribed underneath.

Maggie, a Border Collie cross, was adopted by Ruth, 61, and her husband Eamonn, 62, in 2011.

The couple has previously paid tribute to their pooch with a lifesize bronze statue that Eamonn commissioned last year.

The presenter explained: “It’s like having two dogs in the house. Maggie looks at this other dog and thinks it’s alive! If Maggie ever goes, I wanted something to capture her in her prime.”

While their latest addition was a gift from a make-up artist friend, the personalised hand-painted bauble is available to buy on Etsy for £30.

After sending the seller your dog’s picture and name, she will get to work creating your bespoke bauble which will be sent to you in 2-3 weeks.

While it seems this decoration is something Ruth and Eamon can agree on, when speaking about their Christmas set-up previously, the couple has admitted that their tastes can vary.

In an interview with Woman & Home magazine, Ruth explained: "I'm quite traditional. I like the whole red, gold and green theme, and I have favourite decorations, things that we've had for years that you get out every year and it just says 'Christmas.'"

Eamonn however, has a colourful taste in decorations that is very different from his wife's traditional decor.

"Ruth has now granted me, in my own home, a room that I can decorate. Last year, I bought these lights that you programme from your phone and you can have them strobing, flashing, whatever colour you want, whatever sequence you want," he added.

To which Ruth joked: “Eamonn has regressed into childhood. The older he gets, the more he goes back into his childhood at Christmas."
