Inside This Morning presenter Craig Doyles family life as he shares rare pics of four sons

This Morning viewers have been chuffed to have Craig Doyle back on their screens this week as he joined Holly Willoughby on presenting duties.

Away from the cameras, the Irish TV presenter — once dubbed the ‘sexiest man on the planet’ — married his long-time love Doon Doyle in 2002 and the couple live in County Wicklow with their four children.

The couple are parents to Elsa, 13, Milo, 16, Muireann, 18, and Quinn, 22 .

The family also have a home in Kew, West London.

Craig, 52, and Doon first met through a friend. At the time, she was working in a gym part-time before she started college.

He previously told RTE: “I was home in Ireland just before I started on Tomorrow’s World and a mate of mine said to me ‘Doyler! Ya gotta meet this bird! I tried my heart out with her but it isn’t happening’."

"She was working in the gym part-time before she started college and I went along to the gym. I didn’t even have gym gear with me.

"I had a pair of shorts and a pair of shoes, I looked like a kn*b and I met her and I thought ‘holy god!’"

He continued: "We were on our third date, the kissing date, and we were in Greystones and we had a drink and we were out walking and as I left, I shook her hand. Complete nerd.

"She looked at me like I was a real tw*t and said ‘that was the kissing date. Why didn’t you kiss me?’ I was scared. I fancied her, you see.”

When he’s not busy on-screen, he is home with Doon and their four children, and while he mostly keeps them out of the spotlight, he has shared an occasional family photo on Instagram.

The family also has two dogs and a cat.

Craig shared that he would love to have even more children, but the couple decided four was enough for them.

“I'd have a whole bundle if it were up to me – I love kids,” he told the Belfast Telegraph.

"Doon's full-time with them. She keeps the ship rolling; she's amazing.

"I go to work but I'm really only doing my hobby. She has a hell of a lot more patience than me."

The Dubliner has fast become viewers' favourite to replace Phillip Schofield on the This Morning sofa.

Sharing their thoughts on Twitter, a pair of ITV viewers declared: "This Morning has got to make Craig Doyle the permanent host, he is lovely, great personality and compliments Holly Willoughby on the sofa, fits in with the team like a glove. Come on This Morning make it happen!!!" and "Holly had more chemistry with Craig in that 30 second #ThisMorning intro than in two whole days with Josie."

This was backed up by another handful of tweets, reading: "Can we have Craig Doyle permanently as Phil's replacement? He and Holly just work so well together", "There's such a warmth and calmness about Craig Doyle, Holly seems more relaxed with him too. Would not complain if he were to be permanent #ThisMorning".

Others added: "ABSOLUTELY should keep Craig on This Morning permanently! He is the perfect fit with Holly!" and "Love Holly and Craig… am I the only one seeing the chemistry #ThisMorning."
