SAINSBURY'S has over 600 supermarkets and 800 convenience stores across the UK – but will they stay open for The Queen's funeral?
The longest-reigning British monarch died on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96.

What are Sainsbury's opening times on Monday, 19 September?
Sainsbury's and Argos will shut all its UK stores to customers on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.
A spokesman said: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"In honour of Her Majesty and so our colleagues can pay their respects, all Sainsbury’s supermarkets and Argos stores will be closed on Monday, September 19. "
This will also include groceries online and Argos fast track delivery.
Sainsbury's said its convenience stores and petrol filling stations will be open from 5pm-10pm to allow our customers to pick up essential items.
Select stores in central London will also be open to serve those attending the funeral in person.

However, watch out as opening times vary, so it's best to check the supermarket's store locator.
Are shops closed on the Bank Holiday?
Shops do not have to close, but some may choose to do so out of respect.
Some retailers may choose to operate reduced hours too, as it is a Bank Holiday.
