Jennifer Lopez treated fans to a new edition of her “On the JLo” newsletter Monday, sharing details of her hummingbird-themed Christmas party with husband Ben Affleck and their children — for which she donned a colorful sequined Gucci gown she’d “been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear” — as well as a few of her “favorite things,” which are every bit as luxe as you’d expect.
“If you need a great gift they really work all year long for any special person or special occasion,” she wrote of the pricey picks, which she gave out as Christmas presents this season.
Among the items that won JLo’s stamp of approval? Le Labo scented candles — particularly Santal 26 ($82), which she buys in bulk. (As first reported by The Cut in 2019, Lopez orders 50 of the candles each month, but actually used to buy 100 and occasionally even 200 at a time. Talk about a burning passion.)
“This year I gave this Le Labo Candle Discovery Set ($67) to a few people in my inner circle,” the superstar wrote in her newsletter. “I am absolutely obsessed when it comes to their Santal 26 scented candle. It’s the signature scent in our home and this new set comes with three small candles, so you can figure out which scent you love the most.”
Meanwhile, Lopez — who accessorized her blue-and-white striped Ralph Lauren dress with a custom Nick Fouquet fedora for her post-wedding brunch in August — called the celebrity hatmaker’s creations her “latest fashion go-to.”
“When you make hats for women you’re called a milliner, when you make hats for men you’re a haberdasher, when you make a hat that transcends gender and gives the right amount of swag to any fit, you’re Nick Fouquet,” she gushed, calling his designs — most of which will set you back four figures — “the perfect gift for someone that loves fashion.”
And Meghan Markle’s not the only famous fan of the Hermès Avalon Blanket ($1,625); Lopez included the extravagant throw in her gift guide as well, calling it “the closest thing” she’s been able to find to the “very itchy blanket” she loved as a child.
“Growing up in New York when it was cold, there was something so comforting about that warm blanket on my skin,” she wrote. “Sometimes Ben and the kids make fun of me because I like the itchy feeling of wool against my skin, but it reminds me of my childhood.”
Praising Hermès’ thousand-dollar offering as “chic and a Bronx throwback at the same time,” she added, “It will keep you so warm!!! You won’t regret it! Then again maybe it’s an acquired taste.”
But not everything on Lopez’s gifting list will bust your budget. The “Shotgun Wedding” star also included “The Pocket Thich Nhat Hanh” ($9) — a tiny tome of teachings from the beloved Zen Buddhist monk — as well as the Smooth + Seduce Contouring Body Cream ($60) and Tighten + Tease Resurfacing Body Serum ($60) from her own JLo Beauty brand.
Lopez even showed off a “great” gift she received herself this holiday season: a “super-cool” Selena T-shirt sent by the late Tejano singer’s family.
