Jennifer Love Hewitt is going fresh-faced into a new year.
The “9-1-1” star posted a selfie yesterday to celebrate her 44th birthday, showing off her makeup-free face as she admitted she’s “sometimes insecure about aging.”
Wearing a long-sleeved pink top and her brunette hair in a straight style, Hewitt pouted at the camera for her birthday post.
“Woke up at 4am and was 44!” she captioned the photo. “I am deeply grateful, blessed, happy, sometimes insecure about aging, a mom of three incredible babies, married to the most handsome and awesome man, and really excited to see what this year has for us.”
The “Party of Five” alumna continued, “I feel magic in the air and I love magic. Off to work… thank you mom for giving me life. I miss you so much. Gonna get my job done and my birthday cheers on later.”
Hewitt —who gave birth to her third child with husband Brian Hallisay in 2021 — added that her 7-year-old son, Atticus, “got up way too early” to sing to her and her “heart melted.”
Celebrity friends and fans alike chimed in to send their good wishes, like Amanda Kloots, who wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MOST WONDERFUL PERSON ON THIS PLANET!” and Jessie James Decker, who commented, “Happy birthday beautiful” with a heart emoji.
“Happiest of birthdays sweet friend,” Camryn Manheim added. “Miss seeing you everyday.”
This isn’t the first makeup-free selfie the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” star has posted, like the snap she shared last year while discussing how “aging is weird.”
Sharing how using “filters” in photos “can be tricky,” the mom of three said, “You can’t help but want to look better or even perfect to keep up.”
And while Hewitt kept it positive in her birthday post, in 2021, she commented on the media attention surrounding her body when she was in her twenties.
“I definitely look back on it and go, ‘ew,’” she told Vulture at the time.
“I was really tired of that conversation,” she said. “With ‘Heartbreakers,’ that was a big part of it. I was disappointed that it was all about body stuff, because I had really worked hard in that movie to do a good job as an actress.”
