TOWIE star Jess Wright has taken to Instagram this week to ask her fans for advice on getting rid of sun spots, after one has appeared on her nose.

Sharing a makeup-free snap with her 1.4 million followers, Jess, 35, voiced her concerns over the “stubborn” brown spot in her caption.

“If anyone can please help me get rid of that sun spot I have on my nose please tell me because that’s also a stubborn little b******,” she says.

Jess’s fans have flocked to the comment section to share their own experiences with sun spots.

“I have quite a big sun spot on my cheek, tried everything… won’t go,” one person writes.

“I have the same annoying sun spot,” another says.

Sun spots – also known as age or liver spots – are a type of hyperpigmentation caused by years of sun exposure. They tend to appear as flat and smooth brown spots on the face, arms and hands, and are generally harmless – but, like Jess and her followers have found, can be difficult to get rid of.

One person recommends that Jess try Tropic’s Tamanu Balm, £16 here, which has been labelled a “miracle balm” by shoppers on the website, with many claiming it helps with dry skin, stretch marks, scars, and sun spots.

“Try tropic Tamanu balm Jess, works on sun spot and psoriasis. My husband uses it and I do for dark spots and scars,” the follower comments.

While the purpose of Jess’ post was to ask about hyperpigmentation, she also shows off a visible patch of psoriasis on her arms in the snap. She reveals further down the caption that the skin condition has taken a turn for the worse in recent months.

Showing off her psoriasis flare-ups in the candid selfie, Jess writes: “This past year has mentally took a toll on us all, in particular for me the past 6 months. So currently my psoriasis is not budging.”

The TOWIE beauty says she’s yet to find a “miracle cure” for her condition, but is hoping that a change of diet and lifestyle will help combat it.

“I am starting now with persistent vitamins, a change in diet & a general increase in self care,” she tells fans.

Followers have praised her for being so open about psoriasis, with one person commenting: “I love it when you post about psoriasis because I know it helps so many people.”
