Jonah Hill’s Spare Malibu Colony House Sold to Cannabis Investor For $11.1 Million

American comedic actor. He appeared in such films as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Accepted, Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Funny People, and 21 Jump Street. He guest starred as Andy Hamilton in the episode Pranks and Greens and was shown starring in The Beautiful Game. Jonah Hill has had some time to settle into his recently acquired $15 million residence on the “beach side” of Malibu Colony, the two-time Oscar nominated actor (“Moneyball,” “The Wolf of Wall Street”) has opted to hand over the keys to his sleek contemporary digs on the “land side” of the same exclusive guard-gated enclave to a new owner.

Records show the discount-minded buyer is Hartley Wasko — managing partner of The Eleven Fund, a Denver-based firm that recently invested $40 million into the cannabis technology platform Alleaves — who paid a speck over $11 million for the property, according to Dirt.

First listed for just under $15 million over the summer, the place was offered for rent at $50,000 per month and then relisted at just under $14 million, before ultimately going to Wasko at a nearly $4 million discount off the original ask. That’s still $2.1 million more than Hill paid Chrome Hearts founders Richard and Laurie Stark for the 1980s abode barely two years ago, but he did undertake extensive tweaks that included painting the boxy structure’s formerly all-white exterior a shade of charcoal gray.

Tucked away behind a gated courtyard and an attached two-car garage, the three-story home features four bedrooms and four baths in almost 3,700 square feet of living space. Main-level highlights include a soaring fireside living room with clerestory windows and French doors, which spill out to a compact yet nicely landscaped backyard hosting a barbecue and bar setup flanked by an al fresco dining area, plus a lagoon-style pool, spa and sauna.

Among the other standout features: a dining area that adjoins a kitchen outfitted with ebony-hued cabinetry and high-end appliances, along with a mezzanine level holding a master retreat adorned with a veined-marble fireplace, sitting area, private balcony, and spa-like bath equipped with a custom oversized shower and dry sauna. And topping it all off, literally, is a large third-level roof deck offering up peekaboo ocean views.

Having recently shied away from publicly promoting his work to protect himself from anxiety attacks, Hill just directed the autobiographical documentary “Stutz,” which revolves around his sessions with his therapist, Dr. Phil Stutz. Coming up, he can be seen in the Netflix comedy “You People” alongside Eddie Murphy and Nia Long, and he’s also directing the movie “Outcome” starring Keanu Reeves.

In addition to the Malibu Colony houses, Hill sold a posh NoHo loft in New York City over the summer for just under $10.6 million. As for Wasko, he’s reportedly still got a luxe home in Denver.
