Kaley Cuoco has some regrets about that big chop.

The actress, who revealed she is pregnant with her first child earlier this week, reflected on her time on “The Big Bang Theory” in a newly released book about the show — including the time she chopped her long blond hair into a short pixie cut ahead of Season 8.

“I don’t know if I was being rebellious,” Cuoco said in “The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series,” per People.

“I mean, I did do it for [independent film ‘Burning Bodhi’], which was my excuse to cut it. At that point we were heading into our eighth season and something needed to shake up. I was bored and sick of the hair, and what’s funny is I thought by cutting my hair, I would spend less time in the hair and makeup chair, even though I loved the hair and makeup team.”

However, Cuoco, 36, said the decision “bit” her “in the ass,” because the short style was actually a hassle.

“I was like, this is the worst decision! What was I thinking?! I thought I was cutting off all this time, because I hated going in and getting ready,” she said. “That’s why I was wearing my hair up so much in Season 6 and 7. So then I cut it and it ended up being more work because it wasn’t easy to style.”

Not only was the look more work for the show’s team, but it also came as a total shock, as Cuoco didn’t warn anyone that she was lopping off her locks.

“We didn’t have a heads-up on the haircut!” executive producer Chuck Lorre said in the book, written by Jessica Radloff. “When you think back on it, it was startling. I wish we had been in the loop.”
