Kate Middleton and Prince William, who were then the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, appeared on the red carpet for the new James Bond film premiere exactly a year ago. Now the couple is known as the Prince and Princess of Wales, Express.co.uk are looking back at the couple’s body language on September 28, 2021.
Judi James, a professional body language expert, analysed the Prince and Princess for Express.co.uk.
She said: “It’s usually the royal men living their best life at the Bond premiers, with William, Harry and even Charles historically showing a love of all things Aston Martin lifestyle and bow ties.
“But on that night it was Kate looking like a star of the film as she took to the red carpet in what was probably her most jaw-droppingly stunning look ever,” the expert claimed.
What was the Princess’ body language like?
Judi explained: “Kate’s body language oozed the perfect levels of confidence to carry off the statuesque golden gown.
“Without a bag to carry she held her arms to her sides as she walked beside a rather bashful-looking William.”
What was the Prince of Wales’ body language like?
Judi opined: “William’s body language suggested even he couldn’t believe his eyes or his luck to be accompanying his glamorous wife.”
King Charles and Queen Camilla, who were then the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, also appeared at the premiere for ‘No Time To Die’.
What was their body language like?
Judi commented: “Charles looked jovial and Kate greeted Camilla with a warm-looking kiss on the cheek and a pat on the arm.
“But it was undoubtedly Kate’s night and there must be several stars quietly seething to have been so effortlessly upstaged by this A-list-looking royal.”
Melita Latham, a clothing designer and founder of Melita Latham London, spoke to Express.co.uk about Kate potentially sending messages to Meghan Markle with her Hollywood attire at the film premiere.
The expert said: “If Kate is secretly sending messages to Meghan by wearing this stunning, glamorous, show-stopping Marvel then she has simply no need.
“Over the previous years, Kate has been compared to all female members of the English Royal Family, along with many international Royal Family members and celebrities.
“But oh my goodness has she raised the bar and has simply put everyone else in the shade.
“If there ever was a more beautiful Bond girl to grace a 007 premiere then today I challenge you to find one.
“‘No time to die’ – more like ‘no time to blink’ whilst we are dazzled by her embellished gold cape.”
The Princess of Wales looked mesmerising in a £3,917 Jenny Packham dress.
Kate opted for no clutch bag and low-key jewellery to accessorise her outfit, allowing the dress to speak for itself and impress her fans.
