Kate Middletons latest lip look is a wintery shade going viral on TikTok

If you’ve been scrolling through TikTok recently, you'll most likely have seen there’s one lip product currently going viral: Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey,£21 here. The product is being hailed as the perfect winter shade for all skin tones – and from all of the tutorials we’ve seen, we can see why.

We can’t confirm Kate Middleton has been wearing this exact shade – though we like to think she takes a little scroll through #beautytok of an evening – but we can report that the Princess of Wales has just stepped out wearing a lip shade that looks suspiciously like Black Honey.

Kate and the Royal family headed out for the 'Together at Christmas' Carol Service at Westminster Abbey last night, and she looked incredible in a burgundy coat with the glossy plum shade of lipstick to match. If you compare snaps of influencers wearing the Clinique lipstick on TikTok with Kate’s Christmas carol colour, the two look remarkably similar. Considering the Princess is a long-standing fan of glossy Clarins lipsticks, it wouldn’t be out of the question that this trending Clinique buy would be on her radar. She seems like she'd keep up with trending lip products, we think.

It’s a wonder that Black Honey is still in stock on the brand’s website considering how much attention the lipstick is getting on social media. It’s hard to pinpoint who originally introduced the universally flattering colour to the masses, but userMunera’s video titled “One shade fits all? Let’s try that out” has racked up nearly 50k likes in under a week.

“I got the last one in stock so let’s try it,” she says, grabbing one from a drugstore shelf. “It’s such a dark colour. They said this shade is supposed to look good on every skin tone, so let’s test it.

“Moment of truth. Wait, oh my God. Do you see this? It looks good on me. It’s buildable too so you can make it more intense.”

Fans have responded with compliments about how the plum shade suits her perfectly, while others are keen to share cheaper dupes for the £21 buy.

If you can’t afford it, NYX Lip Balm in Ecstatic is a good dupe,” advises one.

“Dupe, I use Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia,” says another, while a third throws the Burt’s Bees balm in shade Hibiscus as a great alternative. You can buy both of those balm shades here for£5.99 each. As for the NYX one, you can shop thathere on Asos for £6.

We thank both Kate and TikTok for highlighting the fact we desperately need a glossy plum lipstick in our lives this winter.
