Although Keanu Reeves knows he’s the internet’s boyfriend, he wants everyone to understand he has his flaws just like the rest of us mere mortals.
“Obviously, no one is perfect, but I appreciate the goodwill,” the actor told Page Six exclusively at the New York premiere of his eagerly awaited film, “John Wick: Chapter 4” on Wednesday night.
And yes, he even gets crabby when he’s feeling peckish.
“Of course I get hangry,” he exclaimed good-naturedly.
However, he burnished his good-guy persona at the premiere when he interacted with fans lined up outside the theater, happily taking selfies and chatting with them.
Reeves is promoting the fourth installment of the action series, in which he plays legendary hit man, John Wick, whom he has portrayed since the first film was released in 2014.
Even he sounds a little gobsmacked at the franchise’s success.
“It’s amazing,” he gushed, “it’s incredible, it’s very special.”
And as for what keeps him jumping on motorcycles and taking out bad guys at the age of 58, Reeves explains that it comes from a great place.
“Love,” he shared. “I love action, I love movie action, I especially love ‘John Wick’ action, so whatever it takes.”
Even if that means garnering some boo-boos along the way.
“I’ve got lots of bruises,” he revealed. “I like me some bruises. Bruises are fun!”
The only person in America who seems to have a problem with “The Matrix” star is Matthew Perry, who twice mentioned Reeves in his memoir, “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.”
In the book, which was released last November, Perry questioned why Reeves was still alive while actors River Phoenix and Chris Farley were dead.

Upon hearing of Phoenix’s untimely death from a drug overdose at age 23 in 1993, the “Friends” star was devastated and lamented, “Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us?”
Perry later apologized for his bizarre comments.
“I’m actually a big fan of Keanu. I just chose a random name, my mistake. I apologize,” he said in a statement to People magazine last October. “I should have used my own name instead.”
Noticeably missing from the “John Wick: Chapter 4” premiere was Alexandra Grant, Reeves’ girlfriend.
The “Matrix” star was first linked to the visual artist, 49, when they attended the Saint Laurent fashion show together in June 2019.
Since then, the private couple has only been snapped together a few times, with the most recent being on the red carpet at the 2022 MOCA Gala last June.
Also at the screening were the movie’s other stars, Ian McShane, Rina Sawayama and Bridget Moynahan, who also starred in the first “John Wick” film.
