The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are one of the most fun and family-friendly award shows around. Each year, celebrities walk the orange carpet and watch unsuspecting stars get slimed — and they love to bring their children along for the fun! It wasn’t the year 3000… it was 2006! Fresh-faced trio Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers made wacky faces at the 19th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on April 1, 2006. That year the band released their debut studio album, “It’s About Time.”

Rocker Dave Grohl of “Nirvana” and “Foo Fighters” fame smiled for the cameras with adorable daughter Violet at the 24th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2, 2011. Like her Grammy-winning father, Violet also has a penchant for music! The teen, who was born in 2006, is a singer who’s performed with Dad on multiple occasions.

On the orange carpet, he spoke candidly about how his family has helped him battle drug abuse and bipolar disorder. “It’s been the only thing in my life that has given me purpose to fight the demons, and to keep going on,” he told People magazine at the show. “Without their love, and without these kids here, there were times when I just didn’t know whether to go on anymore.”
