Fans blame Kim Kardashian for UFO sightings after alien-themed Skims Swim ad
A new Skims Swim collection has officially landed on Earth (er, the Skims site).
Following an alien-themed campaign that sparked UFO jokes last week, the Kim Kardashian-helmed brand’s spring break-ready drop became available to shop Tuesday.
And in addition to bringing back sold-out favorites — like the Plunge Bikini Top ($38) and Dipped Tie Bottoms ($36) — the 25-piece collection also includes several brand-new bathing suit, accessory and cover-up styles in bright turquoise and lime green (plus Skims’ signature neutral hues).
Kardashian modeled several suits herself in the buzzy campaign — which was shot by “Spring Breakers” director Harmony Korine — making waves in styles like the bright blue Micro Scoop Bikini Top ($36) before posing poolside in the Swim Strapless Monokini ($88) alongside models with alien heads.
For those looking to rock Skims Swim from head to toe — or head to towel — there’s also accessories like a Claw Clip ($24), Molded Sandal ($68) and Terry Towel ($48).
The Kardashian-run brand first dipped into the swimwear market last March with an initial collection of 19 styles — many of which Page Six Style tried and loved.
She’s since added to the line with drops of sparkly suits, shaping swimwear and more, all of which have sold out swiftly.
