Kim Kardashian is certainly no stranger to experimenting with different hair styles and colours, but she’s been sporting her super-long platinum blonde style for months now, ever since she debuted the blonde look for the Met Gala 2022 back in May. Now, however, she’s just been photographed sporting a significantly different hair shade – and it’s sparked an intriguing fan theory.
Amid the current controversy over the recent Balenciaga campaign – a brand that the KUWTK star is an ambassador for – Kim stepped out in Miami with sister Khloé Kardashian, revealing a new warmer, honey-coloured hue, her waist-length hair styled in loose beachy waves. Khloé also had a major hair moment of her own, showing off a voluminous ponytail with masses of cascading waves, which followers thought looked a lot like 90s Bond girl Denise Richards.
The man responsible for Kim’s new colour was, of course, her long-time hair stylist Chris Appleton. “Honey 4 Miami,” Chris captioned a snap on Instagram, asking, “What do you guys think to the new color we did?”
And fans were quick to praise the new caramel blonde shade, with many agreeing that it looked far more natural than her previous shade.
“Best hair color ever besides her natural!” commented one fan.
“Kim as honey blonde is ELITE,” wrote another.
Kim’s appearance also drew plenty of comparisons to other famous faces. Several followers remarked that the look reminded them of both JLo and Khloé, but it was another iconic superstar that this Miami look reminded them the most of.
“It’s giving Beyoncé 2000s,” said one person, with many agreeing. Perhaps the comparison was also triggered by Kim’s very noughties outfit choices, which consisted of plenty of low-slung trousers and ab-flashing crop tops.
One savvy social media commentator even had a theory about the reason behind this hair colour change, suggesting that it’s a clue that Kim is about to go back to her natural brunette hair colour.
“Someone’s going darker (only a hairstylist would know),” one comment read.
So is this a sign that Kim might soon be saying goodbye to the blonde? We can’t wait to see…
